The NASA Collection included four dramatic 50' plug door boxcars from Roundhouse and a beautiful Athearn GP9 and wide vison caboose. The cars each bore a vignette recalling a major NASA achievement- Neil Armstrong taking his "giant step for mankind," Buzz Aldrin standing on the moon with the US flag, a shuttle liftoff from the Cape, and another making a safe landing there. The locomotive and caboose wore the distinctive NASA logo. The caboose also carried a special dedication to the Challenger astronauts. The cars sold for $49.00 for the set of four, while the loco and caboose set were $45.00.
