The SOUTHERN KANSAS CITY Model Railroad Club is a young HO scale modular railroad. We are presently housed in Kansas City's Union Station, a part of Train Town. From our modest beginning, we've grown to nearly forty members. Membership is open, and we welcome modelers of all ages and skill levels. Our objective is to have fun working together to build an easy-to-operate, entertaining layout, without a lot of rules, criticism or complications.

Though our standard corner is a two part module, based on a 78" square, permitting sweeping 60" radius curves, we also use 48" corners that allow a more flexible arrangement of the modules. Our standard straight module is 30" deep x 48" wide. Construction is of standard 1" x 4" framing with 1/2" plywood for the top. Legs are split 2" x 4", inserted in boxed leg pockets.

We started building modules in 2001. Frank Minshall served as host for the building session.
