The Roll Call of the States is a patriotic celebration of the United States of America. This wonderful train, composed of Athearn cars, locomotives and caboose, has one car for each of the fifty states, along with six bonus cars, recognizing the District of Columbia, the territories of American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and a special car for the Pledge of Allegiance. The locomotives are beautifully decorated F7 diesels, and bringing up the end is a standard cupola caboose.

The complete train, consisting of fifty-six cars, one F7a locomotive and one caboose, is $600.00.

Additional F7a and F7b locomotives are $30.00.

Individual cars are $12.00.

The cars are decorated with a metallic gold outlined map of the state, showing the capitol. To the right of the door is a placard with the state's name highlighted in gold, and under the placard is the state's nick-name. The map and placard are printed in a distinctive color, accented by metallic gold. The car number is the year the state was admitted into the Union. Each car also carries a small Roll Call scroll in the upper left corner.

The design for the locomotive a units is a bold American eagle carrying
a broad ribbon emblazoned with The United States of America.
The b units continue the ribbon, with a replica of the Great Seal
.
